McCain Speech Sucks Even GOP Recognizes the Old Man's in Trouble
It’s hard sometimes to know if the GOP and their presidential candidate really sucks sometimes or am I just so bias I can’t judge. I thought last night’s speech by John McCain in Louisiana sucked and now that’s been confirmed by other sources…

From the lime green background, to his weird grimace (I guess that was a smile), the strange solo cheer leading from the sparse crowd, to his misproununciation of New Orleans, it was really bad. Things got worse for the old man when Obama took the stage in St. Paul to claim the Democratic presidential nomination before a fired up crowd of 17,000. The diversity of Obama’s crowd’s is always inspiring. Obama says he likes to wade into the crowd and see old and young people of every color standing side by side reaching for his hand. I was moved to tears by Obama’s soul stirring speech and the sheer magnatism of his presence.
Fox News tries to put lipstick on the pig of a speech…
All of this spells major trouble for McCain. He better hire some better organizers, take some speech lessons and pray for a miracle or he’s toast in the fall.

The Washington Post reports that Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari spoke with Obama via phone this week –- and that Zebari came away assured that Obama’s Iraqi policy would not differ all that much from McCain's. Zebari stated that Obama told him, "If there would be a Democratic administration, it will not take any irresponsible, reckless, sudden decisions or action to endanger your gains, your achievements, your stability or security. Whatever decision he will reach will be made through close consultation with the Iraqi government and U.S. military commanders in the field."
How's that policy of withdrawing U.S. troops according to a fixed and rapid timetable working out, Barry?
Not sure how you interpret this statement as Obama backing away from his plan to withdrawal from Iraq, I take it as him reassuring Iraqi leaders that he will do all he can to ensure stability before he makes a move. I think you and your ilk should be running scared...latest polls show 76% of Americans feel the country is headed in the wrong direction, the number is up 5 points since April! That's an all time high for this survey. Bush's approval ratings are 28% and 70% of Americans back withdrawal from Iraq. Obama is going to swamp McBush and you guys need to brace yourself for the Democratic march to victory in November.
Cheers,

PS: Do you really need to use words like "SUCKS" in your headlines? It's really so amateur.
Well, then let me explain it to you as simply as possibly. From an interview with Charlie Gibson:
ABC's Charles Gibson: "And, Senator Obama, your campaign manager, David Plouffe, said, 'When he is' — this is talking about you - 'When he is elected president, we will be out of Iraq in 16 months at the most. There should be no confusion about that.' So you'd give the same rock-hard pledge, that no matter what the military commanders said, you would give the order to bring them home?"
Obama: "Because the commander-in-chief sets the mission, Charlie. That's not the role of the generals. And one of the things that's been interesting a out the president's approach lately has been to say, 'Well, I'm just taking cues from General Petraeus.' Well, the president sets the mission. The general and our troops carry out that mission."
So which position of Obama's is the real one - what he said before the Pennsylvania primary or what Zebari says Obama told him: "Whatever decision he will reach will be made through close consultation with the Iraqi government and U.S. military commanders in the field."
Obama wouldn't be telling the American people one thing and the Iraqi foreign minister another, would he? And how do his Moveon.org buddies like the idea that the Iraqi foreign minister doesn't see any difference between Obama's and McCain's approach to Iraq?
Why don't you get your own blog...seems like you have lots of time on your hands. Wasn't the whole point of the surge to stabilize the country so we could at some point get the hell out? Obama has been consistent in his pledge for an orderingly transition out of Iraq, the vast majority of the American public wants out, they don't want McCain's 100 year war.
