Four More Years
A year ago I vowed to do everything I could to defeat Nikki Haley and I failed. To say I’m depressed barely covers it. Never underestimate the stupidity of the South Carolina electorate or their ability to make decisions contrary to their own best interests and the good of their state under the leadership of the Republican Party. I don’t blame my candidate Vincent Sheheen he did everything we asked of him and more, even though he was outspent two to one by his opponent, he worked his heart out as did his entire family. He’s a good honest man with lots of great ideas a big heart and the most important quality truly cares about what’s best for South Carolina. One day soon, as criminal indictments begin to roll in and eventually take down the current leadership in Columbia as former House Speaker Bobby Harrell starts to sing to prosecutors about vote buying, influence peddling and who knows what other illegal and unethical practices are being conducted under the leadership of Nikki Haley, voters may regret their votes in this election but it will be far too late. So…four more years of no new taxes, no new roads or bridges, no health care for the working poor, no support for a living wage, and no tax reform in other words a replay of the previous four years with perhaps some shuffling of the deck among the GOP power structure.
Obviously I’m going to survive this, hell I somehow managed to live through 8 years of Bush and 8 years of King Reagan so somehow I will get through this and my world will continue but it just makes me so sad to think how close we came to a new day in South Carolina and we blew it.

Golly, Roxanne, South Carolinians are stupid just because they don't agree with you politically? What an egotistical, elitist statement.
