Would somebody in charge please throw Senator Joe Lieberman out of the Democratic Pary? If he were Catholic I would vote for him to be excommunicated. I’ve had it with this turn coat, treasonous Democrat in name only. Lieberman’s latest outrage is his endorsement and vocal support of Senator John McCain. It’s hard to believe that 8 years ago the Senator from Connecticut was chosen as the Vice Presidential candidate by Democratic Presidential nominee Al Gore. The NY Times reports this week that Lieberman is technically an independent but…he is skipping the Democratic National Convention, after being stripped of his super delegate status and may turn up as this election season’s Zell Miller at the Republican National Convention instead. Lieberman didn’t even wait until McCain was the presumptive nominee of the GOP, he endorsed his old buddy back in December. Besides being stripped of his super delegate status the only other fall out from Lieberman’s endorsement of the GOP candidate is his official portrait has been removed from the Connecticut Democratic Party Headquarters…oh, the shame of it all!

A McClatchy analysis finds that “jobless Americans are spending more time looking for work and that those who can’t find work now make up a greater share of the unemployed.” As of January, “almost one in five unemployed workers” had been jobless for six months or more.

“Not since the Depression has a larger share of Americans owed more on their homes than they are worth,” reports The New York Times, as Congress weighs various proposals to help the “8.8 million homeowners, or 10.3 percent of the total,” who “are underwater.”
